Everything a platform engineer needs to deploy and operate Self-Managed Kindo (SMK) end-to-end, using kindo-cli.

The deployment journey

1. Overview What SMK is, what ships vs. what you bring, and the tool that drives the process.

2. Plan & Provision Infrastructure Sizing, component specs, DNS and firewall planning, AWS Terraform helper or BYO on other providers, and the team-scoped prerequisites checklist.

3. Prepare AI Models Cloud providers and self-hosted vLLM, including DeepHat.

4. Install with kindo-cli Config wizard, preflight, plan, and apply the 10 install steps.

5. Configure & Validate DNS, TLS, SSO, first admin, and the smoke test.

6. Customize Branding (Whitelabel) Per-org app name, logo, favicon, disclaimers, and policy URLs via the CUSTOM_WHITELABEL feature flag.

7. Operate CLI daily-drivers, observability, backup and disaster recovery, scaling, secret rotation.

8. Upgrade kindo upgrade, reconstruction from legacy Makefile installs, MCP-only partial rebuild.
